Natasha Cadir, a Toronto based Mindful Minute Coach will guide you through 1 minute intentional meditations, she will teach you the 5 Mindful Minute Exercises, breathing, observation, awareness, listening and appreciation.
She will also touch upon the 4 T's of mindfulness, focussing on Mindfulness in and out of the Classroom from the author of Teach, Breathe, Learn. Mindful living is fundamental as a tool, as students transition from a sheltered childhood to a university/college experience, especially in a new country, the foundations of Mindfulness of the body, feelings, mind and Dhamma are beneficial and can help relieve stress, improve sleep and lower anxiety
We find that students who take this short workshop use the mindfulness triangle of Thoughts - Sensations - Emotions to settle in to their new surroundings
The most important part of mindfulness is BEING AWARE - not only to your external environment, but also to your own thoughts
She will guide you to FIRE up your five senses, FOCUS on your breath, OBSERVE your thought, MINDFUL eating, PRACTISE active listening, OBSERVE your surroundings
Managing emotions is especially important in situations when we are under pressure. For example, when we are…
Giving and receiving feedback
Meeting tight deadlines
Dealing with challenging relationships
Not having enough resources
Navigating change
Working through setbacks and failure
This is an amazing WORKSHOP to help you get going!
